Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique created by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. It’s used as a way to manage symptoms and improve general well-being. During a reiki session, the practitioner places their hands either directly on you or just above you while channeling universal life force energy (or Qi/Chi) to take your nervous system out of flight or fight mode and into rest and digest mode so that your body can heal itself.
Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. Meditation can give you a sense of ease, peace, and balance that can benefit your overall health and help carry you more calmly through your day.
Sound Healing initiates the relaxation response, which counters the many symptoms of chronic stress. Sound healing instruments can be applied both on-the-body and off-the-body, using a variety of instruments and voice. Sound healing is both activating and relaxing – so it also has a refreshing effect. When instruments, such as tuning forks and singing bowls are played on the body, it is a form of local vibration therapy. This ripple effect continues until all the energy from the waves has been absorbed. When molecules are hit by sound waves close to their inherent frequency they will oscillate or strongly ‘resonate’. The many different molecules in human tissue have different inherent frequencies. Sound healing instruments generate sound waves which create this resonance effect across a wide spectrum of body tissue. This makes Integral Sound Healing so unique and effective.

Reiki Master and Owner,
Danielle’s Soul Clinic
I first experienced Reiki after I had hip surgery in 2016. Reiki substantially contributed to my healing both physically, mentally and spiritually. Prior to this experience, I was quite skeptical of how Reiki worked. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I experienced an array of sensations during my sessions resulting in significant pain and stress relief. After being diagnosed with a chronic illness in 2019 and searching for alternative ways to manage it, I once again discovered the healing powers of Reiki. This opened the door to becoming a certified Reiki Master. I’m passionate about Reiki and I’m excited to share this wonderful way of healing with others. I do Reiki very intuitively, because of this no two sessions are alike. You will receive exactly what your mind, body and spirit need most.

My path to healing energy work started with my own health challenges. As a Western medicine trained physician, I know the limits of our modern approach and look to traditional health and wellness methods for something more. This has led to a yoga teaching certification with Janet Stone Yoga in California, training in local folk herbalism with Jim McDonald of Lindera Herbalism, reiki I and II training with Diane Domondon in New York City and sound therapy/healing certifications for both groups and individuals with Natalie Brown and the Sound Healing Academy based in the UK.
